ECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES AND THEIR IMPACTS IN THE CONTEXT OF CYBER CRIMES AGAINST THE ELDERLY

Resumen

This Given the national scenario, there is a large increase in the participation of elderly people in social networks and electronic media, so it is necessary to carry out an analysis of cybercrimes, analyzing the conduct of fraud through digital media, which largely affects majority, the elderly population. In this sense, the objective is to make a brief analysis of the elderly's access to the internet, making a relationship between this access and the virtual crimes that affect this population, finally, as a final objective, to make considerations about educational policies that can influence the lives of the elderly. It is, moreover, a study with a qualitative bias, having an exploratory, deductive and bibliographical perspective, carried out based on research carried out through articles searched on the internet and books on the subject. It is important to highlight that this topic has already been addressed by scholars in the area of criminal law, therefore, the tools that will be highlighted as a means to be followed are already on the agenda in other discussions. In research carried out, it is easy to see the State's duty to punish criminals who practice this conduct, as well as to provide public policies that educate the elderly in the IT environment. A bibliographical review was used as an applied methodology, carried out through articles, news, books and theses, with the aim of drawing parallels between the advantages and disadvantages of these technological advances.
