In 2020, the world was surprised by a pandemic caused by COVID-19, experiencing a rigid period of social isolation, for which the forms of face-to-face teaching had to be rethought, as well as the PIBID (Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships). PIBID is an action that offers scholarships to students of undergraduate courses to experience the teaching experience from the beginning of their academic training. Thus, the present study proposes to analyze how the PIBID/Letras de Língua Portuguesa subproject of the Regional University of Cariri (URCA) can use new methodologies for the development of its activities in the pandemic scenario, bringing the student closer to both the field of teaching practice and the new technologies that help the teaching and learning process. Therefore, the work is characterized as a bibliographic discussion of a qualitative nature with themes related to the use of technologies as pedagogical aid tools (PAIVA, 2013) and the need for initial and continued training of teachers to handle them in the classroom. Therefore, it was observed through the results that PIBID Letras Português da URCA needed to reinvent its activities, providing remote meetings of pedagogical training and providing opportunities for pibidians to use the Google Meet platform in order to teach Portuguese workshops for students of the School Teodorico Teles de Quental, Crato/CE. In this sense, the observed results demonstrate that the teaching training of scholarship holders was significantly developed, enabling them to work with the new technologies that permeate the current educational context, especially in basic education.
