Author Biography

Newton de Castro Pontes, Universidade Regional do Cariri (URCA)

Newton de Castro Pontes holds a doctorate in Literary Theory from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). He graduated in Letters at Universidade Regional do Cariri (URCA) and has a master's degree in Literature and Interculturalism from Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB). Currently, he is professor of Literary Theory at URCA and permanent professor at the Postgraduate Program in Letters (PPGL-URCA). He is also a researcher in Theory of the Short Story, with a current emphasis in Hispanic American literatures, the leader of Gennova - Study Group in Narrative and New Variants, member of Netlli - Research Center in Linguistics and Literary Theory, editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Miguilim and assistant editor of Macabéa.
